Anarkali was refused a leading role in the Lal Jose film Nee-Na in 2015 when she was in 12th grade, she was concentrating on her studies during the period. She made her film debut in 2016 in the movie Aanandam, in a supporting role, a teenage romantic-comedy movie, which is produced by Vineeth Sreenivasan and directed by debutant Ganesh Raj. She later appeared in the film Vimaanam in 2017 directed by debutante Pradeep Nair, featured Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role.
