The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is an independent agency under the United States Federal Government responsible for the aeronautics and space research, and the civilian space programs. NASA succeeding the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, Headquartered at Washington, D.C., United States, established in 1958. Founded by Dwight D. Eisenhower on 29 July 1958.
