"Kerala Won the Record of Top 12 Primary Health Centers of India" Kerala C.M Pinarayi Vijayan shared on his official page. Regarding C.M's post Kerala becomes the #1 state which holds an outstanding record in public health services in the country.
Even during this COVID-19 outbreak, Kerala has won accolades at the national level for its outstanding interventions in healthcare. Three Primary Health Centers have received National Quality Assurance Standard certification.
The PHC at Kallikaadu in Thiruvananthapuram tops the list with a score of 95%. Kalladikodu PHC in Palakkad comes second with 94% and the third spot goes to Nenmanikkara PHC in Thrissur with 93%. Thus, now the 12 best PHCs in India are in Kerala.
Ottasekharamangalam Poozhanadu PHC in Thiruvananthapuram district has already won the NQAS certification with 99%. So far 64 public health institutions in Kerala have won the certification. Two more institutions are awaiting the results of the examination conducted by NQAS. These achievements are the outcome of the Aardram Mission implemented by the State Government to improve Kerala’s public health care system.
