Adrian McDonald, who is a Philosophical Photographer, Writer, Film Director was taken his conceptual photo series three years ago, has many similarities with today's coronavirus outbreak.
Did Adrian McDonald foresee Coronavirus Outbreak 3 years ago? These pictures say so
The photographs depicts a man wearing a mask with time, a woman wearing a mask while she is spending time with her partner, and people wearing a mask at home, outside, and during business hours. The photographs were taken three years ago by Adrian McDonald's now gone viral.
Here is what Adrian says of his photo series:
I shot this entire series about 3-4 years ago.
It seeks to show the things we hold on to in life and just how fragile it all is. Without warning it can all come tumbling down. Appreciate the moments you have with friends, loved ones and even life itself.
Each talent was bonded with what connected the most. I've listed the titles and meanings below.
1: Our lives We are leaves falling from the branch of a low hanging tree. Eventually it will hit the ground.
2. The Environment We are partners in creation.
3. God The hope for something more.
4. Careers/Purpose We are defined by what we do.
5. Home A place to call our own.
6. Love Someone to call home.
Here we are 4 years later, living in strange times. Looking back at these images give a sense of peace. Humanity will triumph. It still stands as one of my favorite series to date.
And outside became a strange place.
Bodies separated, suspicious stares, dehydrated hands and troubled thoughts.
The schools are closed, businesses suffering and the economy wailing. Fear and panic begged to roam the streets like troubled juveniles.
The old became vulnerable and the young, susceptible.
Families embrace eachother through glass windows. Others say goodbye as breaths draw nigh while hoping to clutch lifeless hands one last time.
Famine seeks to dine with hunger, bellies fill with sorrow and mouths gasp for air. This will not make a zombie out of us.
This suffering will not prosper.
Our humanity will not secede.
We will stand facing the light and watch the shadow fall behind. Time does not define us, we define it.
