Drunken Man Stabbed Liquor Bottle Into His Anus; It Was Surgically Removed
Nagapattinam: A twenty-nine-year-old man, who had been suffering from severe pain in the anus and abdomen, had been removed liquor bottle from his stomach. The man, a native of Nagore, was admitted to the hospital on May 27. A 250 ml glass bottle was found on the X-ray. Dr. S Pandiyaraj, a general surgeon at Nagapattinam Government Hospital, told The News Minute that he was shocked by the X-ray. The doctor says this is the first such incident during a hospital life.
Things became clearer during the detailed interrogation of health workers. The young man himself injected the liquor bottle into his anus. Attempts to remove the bottle were unsuccessful. It was impossible to pull out and the bottle went inward. He did not specify the cause of the stomach pains to his family. After being stuck in the bottle for two days, the pain became unbearable and family rushed him to the hospital.
The first decision was to have surgery after completing the coronavirus test, but he was immediately subjected to surgery to avoid further internal injuries because the bottle was made of glass. The bottle was pulled out after two hours of surgery.
