How to Make Mango Candied Fruits at Home; Cooking with Gautham Krishnan
Candied Fruits, There will be no one who does not like it (which is what we often buy to make a cake at home) but it can be made at home in less than 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
Mangoes Peeled and Cubed 500 gms
Sugar 500 gms
Salt a pinch
Lemon juice (half a lemon)
How to prepare:
Take a bottom thick pan, add Mango chunks, Sugar, Salt and Lemon juice to boil (Do not add water for any reason). Once it starts boiling, cook for another 18 minutes on sim flame. After this process place each mango piece on a baking sheet to cool. Dip every pieces in to regular sugar and place it in a bottle for use. Candied mango is ready.
It is best to keep in the fridge as it is hot season. It is also good to eat like jelly candy.
