Cinematographer B. Kannan, was suffering from age-related health problems and had been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai, was famous for his collaborations with veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja, has died in Chennai on Saturday.
Often known as ‘Bharathiraja’s eyes’, Mr Kannan has worked on almost 40 movies with the filmmaker. Some of their notable collaborations embrace Alaigal Oyivadhillai, Kaadhal Oviyam, Mann Vasanai, Pudhumai Penn and Vedham Pudhidhu. When the Tamil film industry made a change and became completely digital, he was excited to continue learning about this technology from everyone else in the industry.
