The kitten, bought from an online portal, turned into a tiger cub when it grew up.
The couple bought a three-month-old kitten found on an online portal a few days ago for Euros 6,000. The kitten was bought by a couple from the city of Le Havre in France. It was a special breed of kitten called the Savannah Wild cat, commonly found in African grasslands.
Although the couple began to pet the kitten, they began to notice some differences in the kitten's voice each day. The cat's voice began to turn into a majestic growl.
The couple informed the police when they became suspicious of the kitten. They were really shocked when the police conducted an inspection.
That's when they realized that the kitten they thought was a Sumatran tiger cub they had been petting so far. The couple, who bought the tiger cub on suspicion of being a kitten, were taken into custody but later released. The baby tiger was handed over to the wildlife department.
Police have been searching for a wildlife group for two years and have arrested nine people in connection with the case.
