Prafull Billore, 20, from Madhya Pradesh, travelled to Ahmedabad with the desire to study at IIM Ahmedabad, India's premier management institute. But despite writing the exam several times, IIM's dream did not come true. He got admission in another low ranking MBA college but Prafull was not satisfied. Prafull thought that selling tea was better than continuing his studies in a dissatisfied college. He thus set up his makeshift tea shop on the street in front of IIM Ahmedabad where he wanted to study.
His capital was Rs 8000 borrowed from his father and his first-day profit was Rs 150. The new English-speaking teamaker caught the attention of the students there. The students at IIM did not disappoint the young man who came with the demand to try his tea at least for once.

Prafull allowed advertisements for job seekers and employers to be posted in the tea shop.
Later it became a centre for young people to come and drink tea and share their entrepreneurial ideas. Entrepreneurship events and art events including musical nights were also staged at the MBA Chaiwala.
