India's Income-tax Return e-Filing Can Now be Paid Online: New Portal to Launch Today
To make your Income-tax return (ITR) e-Filing easier, Income-tax India's new online portal will be operational from today. The new website is www.incometax.gov.in. The portal has been on developer mode for the past week to switch to the new portal.

Although the portal will be active today, the Central Board of Direct Taxes has announced that the new form of tax payment will be effective from the 18th of this month. On the new IncomeTax e-Filing website, you can pay taxes through Net Banking, UPI, Credit Card, RTGS, and NEFT.
How to Apply for Duplicate PAN CARD?
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has announced that it will soon launch a new mobile app to pay taxes. The Center also said that the new system would be introduced after the last date for payment of advance tax.
The new portal also has a facility to view transactions on the dashboard. There will be free return preparation software and help questions for filling out ITR 1, 4 (online, offline), and ITR 2 (offline) forms.
Arrangements for ITR 3 to 7 will be made soon. In addition, taxpayers can update their profile information. A call center for help will also be set up soon, officials said.
