Malayalam actor Anil Nedumangad, drowned while bathing in Malankara dam in Thodupuzha on Friday. He was best known for his roles in Kamattipaadam and Paavada, and Ayyappanum Koshiyum was in Thodupuzha for the shooting of the movie ‘Peace’, which Joju George is playing the lead role.

Malayalam Actor Anil Nedumangad drowns in Malankara dam reservoir

Malayalam actor Anil Nedumangad, drowned while bathing in Malankara dam in Thodupuzha on Friday. He was best known for his roles in Kamattipaadam and Paavada, and Ayyappanum Koshiyum was in Thodupuzha for the shooting of the movie ‘Peace’, which Joju George is playing the lead role.

He had stepped into the Malankara dam reservoir to take a bath with his friends in their interval, He was 48. Reportedly, he went into the deeper side of the reservoir and was pulled under by strong currents.

According to Mathrubhumi, His friends, who noticed him missing, searched for him and fished him out with the help of rescue workers around 6 pm. He was rushed to a private hospital where doctors pronounced him brought dead.

The actor’s mortal remains will be transferred to the Thodupuzha General Hospital mortuary.
