Even though thousands of people are affected by the Coronavirus every day, countless fake messages are circulating over social media. Although there is an argument that Coronavirus affects older people, the fact is, People of all ages CAN be infected by the Coronavirus.

Even though thousands of people are affected by the coronavirus every day, countless fake messages are circulating over social media. Many ordinary people are not even able to recognize the truth and lies because some malicious people are spreading such false messages daily.

Although there is an argument that coronavirus only affects older people, the fact is, People of all ages CAN be infected by the coronavirus. Older people and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus.

The public must understand these factors affirmed by the World Health Organization about Covid-19, Coronavirus infection.

  • Cold weather and snow CANNOT kill the CoronaVirus.
  • Hand dryers are NOT effective in killing the coronavirus.
  • NO evidence that regularly rinsing the nose with saline has protected people from infection with the coronavirus.
  • The coronavirus CAN be transmitted in areas with hot and humid climates.
  • Ultraviolet light SHOULD NOT be used for sterilization and can cause skin irritation.
  • Garlic is healthy but NO evidence from the current outbreak eating garlic has protected people from the coronavirus.
  • The coronavirus CANNOT be transmitted through mosquito bites.
  • Thermal scanners CAN detect if people have a fever but CANNOT detect whether or not someone has the coronavirus.
  • Antibiotics DO NOT work against viruses, antibiotics only work against bacteria.
  • There is NO evidence that companion animals/pets such as dogs or cats can transmit the coronavirus.
  • Spraying alcohol or chlorine all over your body WILL NOT kill viruses that have already entered your body.
  • To date, there is NO specific medicine recommended to prevent or treat the coronavirus.
  • Taking a hot bath DOES NOT prevent the coronavirus.
  • Vaccines against pneumonia, such as pneumococcal vaccine and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) vaccine, DO NOT provide protection against the coronavirus.

Apart from this, some of the rumors circulating in India need to be mentioned here. A large percentage of the people are being misled by some celebrity BJP, Sangh Parivar supporters including public figures such as film stars, Ministers, Officers working in various government and public sectors, these people leading such Hindutva-cow propaganda.

These people claim that "eating cow-dung, drinking cow-urine, and bathing in it will kill the coronavirus and eliminate the spread of Covid-19 disease," but this is completely untrue.

The fact is, cow-dung or cow-urine does not kill the coronavirus, which requires proper social distancing, if infected, isolation or home-quarantine, and proper medical care are required, otherwise, it may lead to death.
