The trekking through the Western Ghats, started its booking under the supervision of the Banasura-Meenmutty Eco-Tourism Center. Rope climbing to reach the top of the falls will be a challenging and breathtaking experience for everyone. One who reaches the top can feel the beautiful view of the falls and a spectacular view of the Banasura Sagar dam.
Meenmutty Trekking started; 'Book Now' Banasura-Meenmutty Eco-Tourism Center.
As part of Kerala Tourism, it will be a thrilling journey to enjoy the natural beauty of the Banasura hills and Meenmutty waterfalls.
The trekking is arranged around the Meenmutty-Kattukunnu-Anachola section of Banasura Hill and back.
The 6 km long adventurous and interesting Meenmutty trekking will start at 9 am and end at 4 pm.
The forest trail, the best trekking trail in the Sanctuary, has all the facilities required for trekking. Trained guides will accompany the journey.
From near the ticket counter, one enters the forest through a forest path, climbs to the top of the hill, and returns to enjoy the beautiful scenery including the Banasura Sagar Dam (The largest earthen dam in India and the second largest in Asia). The total trekking time is set to seven hours, 9 am to 4 pm.
The ticket price for a group of 5 is Rs.3000.
The waterfall is under the Varambetta Forest Conservation Committee. The tourism activities here, including trekking, are overseen by the committee.
